Dr. Pieter de Villiers founded Royal Vet Pet Sitters in 2017 and built it into the reputable pet sitting business it is today.

He graduated from Onderstepoort in 2019 and is currently practicing as a small animal veterinarian in Vanderbijlpark. 

​

Pieter was born in Potchefstroom, North West, and had a passion for helping animals from a very young age.

 

He is now working hard to provide accurate information and tips to pet owners in order to ensure that they are fully equipped to look after their furry companions so that they are able to live the long and happy lives that they deserve. 

Hello, I’m Dr. Nnaishi Monyeki, and I’m the CEO of Royal Vet Pet Sitters.

I’ve been with the company since 2020, and in May 2023, I officially took on the role of CEO. My journey with Royal Vet Pet Sitters has been deeply rewarding, allowing me to combine my passion for veterinary care, entrepreneurship, and business to create a pet care service that offers much more than just basic pet sitting. I’m on a mission to build a company that not only cares for pets but provides peace of mind to their owners with veterinary-level expertise and personalized service.

I’ve always wanted to make a difference, not only in animal health but also in creating opportunities for growth and success. As a veterinarian, I understand the importance of both physical and emotional care for animals, and as an entrepreneur, I strive to turn that passion into something sustainable and impactful.

My love for animals extends beyond the clinic—I’ve always had a soft spot for cows. Their calm demeanor, intelligence, and strong personalities remind me of the kind of balanced, thoughtful leadership I aim to bring to the company.

Outside of my role as CEO, I’m constantly striving to grow as a person and entrepreneur. I’m focused on creating a future where I can balance my professional and personal life, all while working towards financial freedom and building a legacy that my younger self, my family, and my future children can be proud of.

Through Royal Vet Pet Sitters, I’m working to become someone who inspires others, not only for my professional achievements but also for my commitment to personal growth, integrity, and making a positive impact on the lives of both animals and people.

Hi, I’m Dr. Sarah Verbeemen, veterinarian and Chief Operating Officer of Royal Vet Pet Sitters.

I started my journey in pet care in October 2020 as a pet sitter, and from day one, I knew I had found something truly special. In October 2022, I officially joined Royal Vet Pet Sitters, stepping into a leadership role where I could combine my love for animals with strong organisational and operational skills to help grow a business that puts pets first.

I graduated as a veterinarian in November 2024, and I'm currently completing my CCS year at Casteel Animal Clinic in Mpumalanga. One of the most fulfilling parts of my work is diagnosing and treating medical cases—seeing the transformation in a patient from their first visit to a healthy follow-up is deeply rewarding.

As COO, I focus on ensuring that everything at Royal Vet Pet Sitters runs smoothly—from team coordination and client communication to service quality and innovation. I’m passionate about raising the standard of pet care, and I’m proud to be part of a vet-led team that truly understands what pets need.

My favorite animal? Definitely dogs. It may be cliché, but when I look into a dog’s eyes, I feel like I’m staring into a soul—there’s an instant connection that reminds me why I do what I do.

In the future, I hope to work in a mixed practice and continue expanding my knowledge across species, but my heart will always belong to small animals. I’m excited to help Royal Vet Pet Sitters grow into a trusted household name for pet parents across South Africa
